Based on the studies described in the publication referenced below, it is more accurate than previously used prediction tools. It is based on research that accounts for a broader range of variables and that is designed to account for a far greater number of possible conditions. The Melanoma Calculator was authored by Advertek , Inc. Healthcare Data in collaboration with the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Surgery, and Kelly M. McMasters, M.D., Ph.D. a nationally recognized authority in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma.
